Big Project – bigger fun! Since we play our own music exclusively we fell in love with the plan: ALBUM#01
Made a complete new show premiered in Philharmonie Essen.
Play our own music, extended with Harp, Cello & Trumpet along AI-Visuals.
In the late 2023 we made our debut at Festspielhaus Baden-Baden and created a new show for this stunning hall! Holograms, AI-Stage & exclusive arrangements!
One for the books: before touring Germany with the first Hologram-Conductor, Duncan Ward + the fabulous Balthasar-Neumann-Orchestra we produced the show in the famous Chateau Fontainebleau!
Worlds first hologram show in a classical concert hall! Fun to duplicate yourself or play with virtual musicians!
Honored + blessed to made this happen: John Psathas wrote »ORBITAL« for Repercussion + the one and only WDR Funkhaus Orchestra Cologne!
Phil Fuldner in da house! Fanboys moment to create a show with this DJ Legend!
Frank Dupree does it all: piano, percussion, impro – and guess what: putting a show together was easy and inspiring at the same time!

The Year started fantastic! We made a pretty huge cut and decided to play our own music. Exclusively. With two big upcoming shows it was a crazy journey from scratch to show!
Not enough we had the plan to invite musicians to join us! Cello, Trumpet and Harp – our favorites – worked out pretty well on stage in our arrangements!
For #IMPACT at Philharmonie Essen we made a special video concept: AI generated Visuals were projected on a screen behind us and on the floor, splitted up in 3 rows! The visuals reacted of course in realtime to the music and best: we reacted to the visuals under our feet!
Crazy!
For our show BEAT in the Philharmonie Duisburg we switched to a Live-Screen Concept.
7 Live Cams filmed us and our VJ played with it live. The audience was able to see closer what was happening on stage, while enjoying extraordinary visual experiences!
Connexion was our premiere in the famous Festspielhaus Baden-Baden in 2023!
For the Herbstfestspiele we realized a magic night – together with our partner in crime:
Balthasar Neumann Orchestra & The Cuban European Academy!
Part 1 lived up our vision of classical concert: Hologram-Gauze in front, Repercussion as Soloists. Complete unique music, composed or arranged for us – or even for this night! Hard to believe! We started with our arrangement of »Attraction«. Originally composed for marimba and tape we made an intercultural version of it – for marimba, electronics, percussion, orchestra and improvisations. Fun!
Second piece was a world premiere: a new arrangement of »The Wave« from Keiko Abe in a completly new arrangement from our friend Gordon Hamilton for Repercussion & Chamber Orchestra.
Of course we closed Part 1 with »Orbital« by John Psathas – you know why!
For Part 2 of Connexion we had the honor to create a visual concept! With our VJ and friend VJ SAW we created »VIRTUAL ROOMS« : Special AI – Rooms fit perfectly to the pieces and transported and supported the music visually. Watch the photos, looks great!
Maybe the craziest project we have ever done.
Task: Go on tour with the orchestra of the future, create a hologram conductor show in a castle in a few days and rehearse. Show upcoming in 7 days.
All this with a small team you don’t need two hands to count.
Low Budget – high outcome. Literally.
You can’t image what is possible to realize when you gather the best people around.
Media down here shows best what! Was a blast!

We created a future percussion-show, where the extraordinary music and the expressive visuals merge to a immersive concert experience.
The task: nothing should be dispensable!
So we play together with other musicians – but they are holograms.
We perform with our selves and the artificial intelligence »Mari« moderates.
Visuals are completely synced to our performances and are projected to a special holo-gauze which is between the audience and the stage.
Its like a curtain, but you can’t see it – but the visuals and holograms!
Sounds like future, but all this happens in »MOMENTUM«
»Orbital« is the name of the commissioned work for Repercussion x Orchestra x Electronics x Tape!
More than lucky to bring this piece to live with the help of the amazing WDR Funkhausorchestra & Gordon Hamilton – conductor & friend!
Orbital is a celebration!
It is the musical perspective of looking down at planet Earth and witnessing the whole of humanity at once.
It’s about looking down at planet Earth from a musical perspective and witnessing the whole of humanity at once.
John creates a kind of mega-orchestra. An orchestra on steroids with Repercussion delivering vigorous muscular, exuberant youthful energy fronting the performance. Its’s a cross-over symphony.
In the 20-minute work, Psathas integrated Repercussion’s idea of combining U- and E-music compositionally in order to attract a new generation of audiences with their more modern listening habits while sensitizing and inspiring them with for a „classical“ orchestral sound.
Psathas‘ fusion of genres is enhanced by Repercussion’s „Audio Extensions“: these allow soloists to extend the sound of the classical instruments beyond whats familiar, using dynamic audio effects, thereby creating a new sonic language.
„Granular synthesizers“ created from sound fragments of the classical instruments blend with spherical sound recordings. Extraordinary drums paired with electronic percussive sounds push the acoustic boundaries and point the way forward towards the future.
Powerful, pulsating passages transform imperceptibly into lyrical melodies and make „Orbital“ a multi-faceted and entertaining experience.
The uninhibited one-movement work combines styles, genres and the digital possibilities of the 21st century without losing sight of the high artistic standards of a „classical“ concert piece.
Why not listen to an entire orchestra playing in reverse, if you can?
What fits better than percussion and DJ?
Together with the international Star-DJ Phil Fuldner we created the outstanding show »Infinite Spaces«.
Two words describe best:
»arty & clubby«
We merge the best of both worlds.
We reworked the club-hits from Phil Fuldner and combine his grooving beats with our classical percussion instruments.
Beyond that we rearranged »classical« compositions and make them danceable.
Immerse into the concert-club, watch state-of-the-art visuals and move your feet: allowed and highly recommended!
Percussion & Piano – what else?
This combination seems like the most natural way of chamber music.
But its getting really interesting, if the pianist is a percussionist too!
Partner in crime for this journey is star-pianist »Frank Dupree« – pianist, percussionist and master of different genres.
Listen to a balanced mixture of traditional works & exciting new arrangements!
Yes, of course:
we spice up the show with some electronic effects and prepared the piano for an up-to-date touch.
